eclipse - Issues using Search and replace in Aptana. Any options? -

i having hard time getting use search function in aptana(eclipse).

i try search "workspace", consider open files, not whole project. when this, starts search through 2,900 files have in whole project.

maybe it's me. maybe doing wrong. maybe there's setting can change make workspace choice work actual workspace or maybe it's bug. use search feature most, , it's frustrating me.

are there plugins, or options can make better, or replace functions normally?

if there's no way change it, think whole search selection box needs overhaul. ability set working set, other that, , searching whole project , search seems project.

i think should have functionality this;

project (all files in project, ie: full cms have) working set (i have of these - works awesome plugins) workspace (files in actual workspace, not searching whole project) file(s) (called selected resources now.seems ok individual file)

the current search set individual or open files seems difficult, inconsistent , it's not intuitive. file selected, "selected resources" option button not selectable.

i remember getting frustrated last time tried eclipse well. coming (and went to) nice text/source code editor simple understand , use search. can select "selected resources", can't.

the "replace" isn't easy work either. doesn't seem there's sort of stepping make changes, it's or nothing.

it's been 5 years, trying eclipse again large project, it's pain having go , forth more user-friendly editor because has few things better. simple search , replace. having switch eclipse , reloading files.

any helpful suggestions (other than, "if don't it, don't use it?").

if i'm reading right using eclipse aptana plugin, may different (i using standalone aptana studio 3).

if use search dialog (search > search or ctrl+h) not have open search open files (the "workspace" not same open files). however, if use ctrl+f bring find , replace view (not technically "view"?) there dropdown called scope has option open files should looking for: enter image description here

using "view" easy stepped replaces. these things true aptana plugin...

edit: looks can't replace while scope set open files...

c++ - wxwidget compiling on windows command prompt -

can please guide me on method,as how compile wxwidget using windows command prompt or msys. [i can't seem find on wxwiki/wxwidget official book/anywhere else] i have compiled wxwidget instructions have provided (using msys). from searching on internet seems 1 can (maybe?) through use of makefile (is correct?) if yes: directory & how should link wx libraries in makefile if no: way besides makefile? i know can use ide's code::block , make life simpler prefer compile using command prompt/msys. thanks in advance.
